Princetown Film Club

Moor Film club is an after school club at Princetown Primary School run by MED Theatre. We offer opportunities to learn a range of creative skills including camera operating and script writing, acting and directing and more! We provide training in the use of top of the range technical equipment, as well as artistic mentoring to improve creative writing, acting and directing technique.

Moor Film Club is free for any young person aged 7-13 years living in the Princetown, Postbridge and Lydford area to attend.

THE BOG MONSTER (2019)

On July 17th 2019 MED Theatre staff and youth representatives hosted the launch of THE BOG MONSTER, Moor Film Club’s latest film. 

In THE BOG MONSTER we meet Ava, a young girl who is struggling with the bullies in her school. One day when hiding from them on the moor, she meets a new friend who helps her gain the confidence she needs. 

DRAGON'S VALLEY (2018)

A local legend tells of a dragon that lives just beyond the village, in the hills of Dartmoor. A group of school children decide that they would like to investigate this further, but on their way they meet someone who makes the adventure seem a little too real… 

DRAGON’S VALLEY is a story of friendship, legend and inclusion. The film was launched in July 2018 to an audience of family members, friends and staff from Princetown Primary School

The SPYMASTER (2017)

On July 19th 2017 MED Theatre staff and work-experience students mentored the launch of ‘The Spymaster‘ at Princetown school – the second feature film from Moor Film Club.

The Alien's Amulet (2016)

The Alien’s Amulet explores being different and making friends in a place you may not feel you belong… 

Moor Film Club created this first film and launched it in the presence of friends and family, as well as school staff from Princetown Primary, in July 2016.
