The Salmon (1990)

The Salmon was written and directed by Mark Beeson. The play was a satire  about a tour guide who refused to take heed of the troubling yet very real threats to the ecology of his local area – instead he immersed himself in the comforting myths and legends surrounding the heritage of Dartmoor. The Salmon was an allegory that warned of the dangers of insular thinking and argued for the importance of taking account of wider global concerns. SALMON SCENEthe-salmon-3
