For this years DartFest we have a special treat… not one but two of our Dartmoor groups will be performing their very own plays! As part of our Historic England funded ‘Stark Reality’ project, Bright Nights (10-12s) and Wild Nights Young Company (12-19s) will showcase their talents with two short plays inspired by life in rural Dartmoor.
Bright Nights have written a play inspired by a character from John Trevena’s Dartmoor novel, ‘Granite’. Old Coles delivers anything you need, but when life is tough and the villagers are struggling to get by, how does their frustration make them act towards this kindly old man?
