A Salmon's Journey Home

For Summer 2022 MED Theatre produced a new short storytelling performance adapted from our 2021 sell-out performances of ‘Salmon’.

This was a free touring event funded by the River Teign Restoration Project as part of our ongoing partnership.

What was it about?

The Salmon’s Journey
Grilse and Kelt, two Atlantic salmon exhausted by their travels from Dartmoor to Greenland and back again and dreading what they must yet face, are greeted by Tamara, a mystical being with a story of her own to share. But can they gather the strength to make that final leap? Folklore, movement and education come together in this tale about the salmon of Devon’s rivers and how we could all play our part in saving their water habitat.
