A PLAY FOR CHILDREN, SET ON THE DAY OF THE ECLIPSE

The Forest Fire (1999) was written and directed by Mark Beeson. A children’s play set in a deep forest on Dartmoor at the time of a solar eclipse. The location is a campsite and all the adults are busy with the viewing of the eclipse; meanwhile the children are left to their own devices. An adventure ensues based on the memory and influence of a strange girl who haunts the forest. A fire adds to the mix, threatening to engulf them all.
