Join us again this November for a traditional Dartmoor revel, a celebration of moorland life at Christmas time that follows the light switch on event in Moretonhampstead.
WHY A ‘REVEL’?
In past years we have hosted events called ‘ceilidhs’, but this is traditionally a Gaelic name for a folk dance event. In a recent chat with Dr. Tom Greeves he informed us that dances on Dartmoor were traditionally known as ‘revels’ and so we have decided to adopt this name instead!
NOVEMBER 26th 2022, 7pm-10pm
(dances from 8.30pm)
Moretonhampstead Parish Hall
The whole family is welcomed to this dance event, with nibbles and drinks available and a raffle to help raise funds for MED Theatre’s young peoples’ groups.
The Community Folk Orchestra are all about playing music and having fun. We are always delighted to have them with us for a Ceilidh and can’t wait to have them entertaining us all again soon, lead by David Faulkner.
